It's true.

You don't have to have six pack abs, bulging biceps, or a full head of hair to attract women. You don't even have to be fit. If you develop a great personality and learn the skill of attraction, you can succeed with women no matter your looks, age or income.

BUT. If you get yourself in good shape, and keep yourself healthy and fit, your chances of attracting the women you want go up dramatically, as well as the chances of keeping them attracted. There is a definite correlation between health, fitness, and dating.

Now, if you're nothing but a knucklehead, a bore with no personality or charisma, it doesn't matter how much muscle or how little fat you have on your body, you won't attract women. You have to be able to activate a woman's mind with your words before you do anything else. But it is a heck of a lot easier when you are in good shape and you know it, because she can see it, and sense it. And hey, women do prefer a fit guy who looks good in clothes. Getting yourself in good shape gives you a lot of confidence and women can feel that. Being fat and out of shape or letting yourself go tears down your self confidence, and it's a lot harder to be attractive when you don't feel attractive. Luckily, you don't have to run a marathon or bench press 400 pounds, you just have to get yourself in decent shape, particularly with cardio and conditioning.

Nothing is worse than a body builder with 6% body fat who wheezes and huffs and puffs going up a flight of stairs. No woman wants to date a man like that, he's a phony. Fitness starts with getting your lungs in shape and your legs in shape, and that's not just squats and lunges. That's good cardio and conditioning work, setting a base for the rest of your body.

Cardio doesn't have to be difficult. Go ride the exercise bike for an hour with a good book (preferably one of mine), and do it consistently. It's not hard, especially when you get older, and it will give your legs the look women crave. Doing conditioning exercises with kettlebells, jump rope, body weight exercises, etc. will really develop your lungs, and give you a healthy energy that women can feel.

You'll also want to spend some time working on your core muscles so you'll look good in nice clothes, something women really like, especially as you get older. Don't think about growing an oversized chest or biceps, think about looking good in clothes. If you show up on a date looking like a slob, you have a hill to climb. If you show up looking fit and well dresses, you're off to a good start. Women notice the details and they appreciate when a man dresses nice for them.

Dressing nice and being fit is also quite helpful for online dating profile pics. Many men make the mistake of posting pictures with their shirt off, showing off their abs. Women hate this, they really do. What they want to see is a reasonably fit man wearing a nice shirt and pants…that's how you show off a fit body to the female mind, not by taking off your shirt.

Developing the value of health and fitness when you're young will give you a huge advantage when you're older, especially in your 40's and 50's. Many men who were fit in their 20's let themselves go in their 40's and 50's because they never learned the skill of physical fitness. But if you do, you will have a huge advantage over them because you'll give off a youthful, healthy, intriguing vibe while they come across as dull witted and slow.

So, do you have to be fit to attract women? No, but it's much easier when you are, plus you have a lot more fun. Focus on the cardio and conditioning, and you'll always be able to at least initially attract women at any age.
